Aspen Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our team. The role supports residents with complex pulmonary needs and requires delivering evidence-based respiratory care across the care continuum.

The position emphasizes collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, along with thorough patient education and documentation. It is a full-time, on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Current state licensure required.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with residents and teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations.
• Develop, evaluate, and modify treatment plans with physicians and team.
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen and aerosols.
• Monitor residents’ respiratory status and equipment function.
• Educate residents and families on treatments and medications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and progress.

Join our team at Aspen Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center as a Respiratory Therapist.

Full-time (32 hours), 4-day work week (3 days Aspen Hill, 1 day Palm Springs).

$40-$55/hr.

Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Respiratory Therapist provides skilled assessment, treatment, and education to residents requiring respiratory support across the care continuum.

Responsibilities for Respiratory Therapist:

• Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations for a diverse resident population.
• Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop, evaluate, and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Conduct regular monitoring of residents’ respiratory status and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment.
• Educate residents and families on respiratory treatments, equipment use, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and resident progress in accordance with clinical standards.

Qualifications for Respiratory Therapist:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care required.
• Current state licensure required.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in a skilled nursing facility, LTACH, or home care with respiratory equipment company experience is helpful.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage residents, families, and clinical teams.
