Job summary

Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide therapeutic and diagnostic cardiopulmonary services under practitioner direction. The RT will work with a team, deliver age-appropriate care, and follow hospital policies and AARC standards of practice.

The role requires NH licensure, ACLS/PALS/NRP eligibility or certification, CPR, and preferably five years of clinical experience; new graduates will be considered.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved Respiratory Care program and NH license required.
• Knowledge of evidence-based respiratory care techniques.
• ACLS certification or eligibility for certification.
• PALS and NRP certification or must obtain within six months of hire.
• CPR certification; demonstrate judgment in diagnostic and therapeutic modalities.
• Five years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic and diagnostic cardiopulmonary services per prescriptions and hospital policies.
• Interact professionally with peers and patients.
• Provide age-appropriate care to a diversified patient population.
• Adhere to hospital policies and AARC standards of practice.
• There is no call-schedule as this facility has 24 hour respiratory coverage.
