ARMStaffing is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week contract in Madison, WI. The role involves delivering intensive respiratory care, patient transport, and education at discharge, under licensed oversight and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include administering ventilatory treatments, chest physiotherapy, monitoring, imaging reviews, and CPR per BLS/ACLS. Attractive benefits and travel housing support are offered.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid respiratory therapy license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physician-prescribed respiratory treatments using ventilatory equipment, non-invasive and invasive methods, oxygen, aerosol devices, and nebulizers.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal).
• Monitor patient oximetry and capnography.
• Review and evaluate chest X-rays and conduct pulmonary function studies.
• Assist with bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, and tracheostomy care.
• Manage arterial punctures and record monitoring results, communicating with physicians about progress.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of treatments and charges.
• Perform CPR in alignment with BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Facilitate maintenance and repair of respiratory equipment.
