Job summary

Southcoast Health seeks a Respiratory Therapist for Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA. This 16-hour day shift position performs pulmonary function testing and related respiratory care duties under physician orders.

Requirements include graduation from an approved Respiratory Care program, MA licensure, CRT, and PFT experience; RRT and CPFT are preferred. A $2,000 new-hire sign-on bonus is offered; vaccination per policy is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care program; an Associate's degree is preferred.
• Massachusetts Board of Registration in Respiratory Care license required.
• One year of acute/chronic respiratory care experience preferred.
• CRT required; RRT preferred.
• PFT experience required; CPFT preferred.
• MGC PFT equipment experience preferred.
• Must be vaccinated against influenza and COVID-19 or exempt by signing a consent upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform and monitor Respiratory Care per physician orders.
• Provide services including CPT, sputum induction, breathing exercises, medication delivery, fit testing, TB testing and CPR.
• Assist with airway management, ventilation support and pulmonary function testing.

We are searching for a talented Respiratory Therapist

$2,000 new hire sign-on bonus for this position. (rehires termed more than 1 year also eligible)

Hours: 16hrs

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Location: Tobey Hospital - Wareham, MA; This position will perform pulmonary function testing at a Rosebrook MOB

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Respiratory Care or designee, perform diversified duties in administering and monitoring Respiratory Care Services according to Physician*s orders. Services including but not limited to; Chest Physical Therapy (CPT), sputum induction, breathing exercises, medication delivery, fit testing, Tuberculosis (TB) testing, blood sampling and analysis, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), airway management, bronchoscopy assistance, evaluation and assessment, protocol implementation, patient and family education, smoking cessation, non-invasive and invasive mechanical ventilation, airway management, heliox therapy, oxygen therapy, holter monitoring, Electrocardiogram (EKG) testing and Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT).

• Graduate of an approved program for Respiratory Care is required; an Associates degree is preferred.
• Valid license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Respiratory Care is required.
• One (1) year of acute and chronic respiratory care experience is preferred.
• CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) is required; RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) is preferred.
• PFT experience required, CPFT preferred.
• Experience with the use MGC PFT equipment preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
