Job summary

Orchard Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Towson, MD, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our full-time team. The role focuses on skilled assessment, treatment, and education to residents with complex pulmonary needs, across the care continuum.

This position offers a Monday–Friday 7am–3pm schedule, competitive $40–$55 hourly pay, and comprehensive benefits, with opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Current state licensure required.
• Experience with tracheostomy care and ventilator management in SNF/LTACH or hospital setting required.
• Minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills when engaging residents, families and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive chest assessments and respiratory examinations for a diverse resident population.
• Consult with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop, evaluate, and modify individualized treatment plans.
• Perform diagnostic testing, including lung capacity measurements and evaluation of blood gas levels.
• Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy.
• Manage and monitor ventilator-dependent residents, including initiation of ventilator support when necessary.
• Conduct regular monitoring of residents’ respiratory status and ensure proper functioning of respiratory equipment.
• Educate residents and families on respiratory treatments, equipment use, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatments, assessments, and resident progress in accordance with clinical standards.
