Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist License required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required; NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E are preferred for NICU roles.

Responsibilities

• Administer oxygen therapy and aerosolized medications.

The role involves monitoring and assessing patients' respiratory status, collaborating with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans, and educating patients and families on managing respiratory conditions. In emergency situations, quick response and effective intervention are critical. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment and accurately documenting treatments.
Qualifications include

• graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

• holding a Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License

and

• a Registered Respiratory Therapist License
