Job summary

Quipt Home Medical is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide home respiratory care. The role involves setting up respiratory equipment after physician orders and managing ventilators. Prior ventilator management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include delivery, paperwork, patient instruction, and follow-up calls in the home setting. A clean driving record, active license, and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with home care experience.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Background check required; driving eligibility with valid license (21+).
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Set up and deliver respiratory equipment (e.g., non-invasive ventilators, BiPAP) in hospital and home settings.
• Complete delivery/pickup paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Instruct patients on proper use, maintenance and safety of equipment.
• Conduct follow-up calls with patients after setup.
• Provide follow-up home care as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Position

Respiratory Therapist

General Description

Quipt Home Medical is seeking a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist with experience in providing respiratory care to patients in the home setting. The respiratory therapist will be responsible for setting up respiratory equipment in a prompt manner after receiving physicians' orders for prescribed respiratory equipment. The successful candidate will have experience with ventilator management.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and delivery of respiratory equipment including, but not limited to, non-invasive ventilators and BiPAPs in the hospital and home setting
• Completes delivery and pick up paperwork promptly and accurately
• Provides patients with instruction on the proper use, maintenance and safety of their medical equipment
• Performing follow up phone calls with patients after respiratory equipment is set up
• Providing follow up care in the home setting as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Clean driving record
• Successful completion of a background check
• Must be 21 years or older to be covered on company auto insurance and have a valid driver's license
• Must hold an active RRT or CRT License
