Job summary

Blessing Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform a variety of respiratory care procedures as prescribed by a physician, delivering care across age groups from neonate to geriatric while upholding the hospital mission and core values.

The role requires graduation from an accredited respiratory care program, possession of an Illinois Respiratory Therapy license (with license within 90 days) and ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Illinois Respiratory Therapy license or letter of authority. ACLS certification required.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for performing a variety of respiratory care procedures and functions as prescribed by a physician.

This position requires providing services to one or more age populations, including neonate through geriatric, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served.

This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals, and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Training/Experience:

REQUIRED:

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care program.

PREFERRED:

• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy.

License/Certifications/Special Requirements:

• Possess a current Illinois Respiratory Therapy license or letter of authority from the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. Note: License Examination will be taken within 60 days of graduation. The director must receive the license within 90 days of graduation.
• Possesses current ACLS certification.

PAY STATUS

• Non-exempt hourly
