Job Description

This position is responsible for delivering high‑quality Respiratory Care to all patients who require such care, as ordered by a physician. The Respiratory Therapist evaluates and assesses each patient ordered on therapy for the appropriateness of the treatment and communicates with nursing staff, assisting physicians with any changes necessary to enhance patient care and safety. The role also includes providing education to patients and their families about Respiratory Care.

Education and Credentials

• Certificate or A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy.
• NYS RT license or eligible to obtain licensure.
• Current BLS required; ACLS and/or NPR preferred.

Experience

At least one (1) year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred. Assignments require independent judgment and decision‑making.

Compensation
