Grandview Healthcare Center in Iowa is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our friendly, caring team. You will provide respiratory therapy according to physician orders and ensure high-quality patient care.

We value CRT/RT certifications, an Iowa license, and BLS/ACLS; five years of experience is preferred, with opportunities for growth and competitive wages.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from a CoARC-accredited program and Iowa licensure.
• CRT/RT certifications (CRTT/CRT/RRT/CCT) and BLS/ACLS required.
• 5 years of RT experience preferred but opportunity for growth will be considered.

Responsabilités

• Provide respiratory therapy to residents as ordered and ensure patient safety.
• Develop and evaluate respiratory care plans; initiate, modify and monitor therapies.

As a Respiratory Therapist you are the backbone of the Therapy Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Grandview Healthcare Center by utilizing scientific and clinical principles for the identification, prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of acute or chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction, reviewing existing data, collecting additional data, and recommending to obtain data to evaluate the respiratory status of patients, developing the respiratory care plan, and determining the appropriateness of the prescribed therapy. Initiating, conducting, and modifying prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Documenting necessary information in the patient’s medical record and communicating information to members of the health care team. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, an associate’s degree from a CoARC-accredited educational institution, one of the following certifications: CRTT, CRT, RRT, CCT, must have BLS/ACLS certification and an unencumbered State of Iowa Respiratory Therapist License. Five (5) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
