Grandview Healthcare Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our dedicated therapy team in Iowa. The role includes developing and implementing respiratory care plans, and coordinating care with physicians and nursing staff.

We offer flexible fulltime shifts (including 3rd shift) with differential pay, CRT $29 base and RRT $36 base, tuition reimbursement, 401K with employer match, comprehensive benefits, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• As a minimum, an associate's degree from a CoARC-accredited educational institution, one of the following certifications: CRTT, CRT, RRT, CCT.
• Must have BLS/ACLS certification and an unencumbered State of Iowa Respiratory Therapist License.
• Five years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist is preferable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to residents following physician orders and established protocols.
• Develop and implement respiratory care plans and evaluate effectiveness.
• Document patient data and communicate with the healthcare team to ensure safety and quality care.

Education

Associate's degree from a CoARC-accredited educational institution

As a Respiratory Therapist you are the backbone of the Therapy Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Grandview Healthcare Center by utilizing scientific and clinical principles for the identification, prevention, remediation, and rehabilitation of acute or chronic cardiopulmonary dysfunction, reviewing existing data, collecting additional data, and recommending to obtain data to evaluate the respiratory status of patients, developing the respiratory care plan, and determining the appropriateness of the prescribed therapy. Initiating, conducting, and modifying prescribed therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Documenting necessary information in the patient's medical record and communicating information to members of the health care team. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.
