Job summary

The Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver direct patient care, manage breathing treatments, and contribute to rehabilitation goals within our Illinois facility.

You will assess patients, develop care plans, supervise therapy, and support families while upholding compassionate, evidence-based practice. State license and CPR are required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current State License in Respiratory Therapy.
• CPR certification.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Two years of hospital experience in Respiratory Therapy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients requiring medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication.
• Supervise care and breathing treatments, lead patient assessments, create personalized care plans, and address patient concerns.
• Build meaningful relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs for successful recovery.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.
