Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory department in Newark, NJ. This full-time, nights position performs respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostics under medical direction, with potential lead duties during shifts without supervision.

Required credentials include RCP license, NBRC RRT, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and a minimum of 1 year RCP experience; a high school diploma or equivalent is also required. Competitive NJ weekly pay applies.

Qualifications

• State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License is required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and must be maintained.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from NBRC is required.
• 1 year of experience as an RCP is required.
• ACLS certificate required and PALS certificate required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care.
• May be designated Lead RCP during shift in absence of supervisor.

Pay: up to $1,663.20 to $2,408.70 gross pay per week

Responsibilities

Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director, the RCP II is responsible for performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician. Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient. In the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as Lead RCP, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift.

• State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.
• 1 year of experience as an RCP required.

Pay Transparency

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $39.60 to $57.35. This compensation estimate is specific to New Jersey and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
