Job summary

PromptCare, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for home-based care in Manchester, NH. You will set up therapeutics, diagnostics, high-tech ventilation, oxygen and related equipment, while acting as a patient advocate and positive company representative.

This field role supports patients on a 24/7 basis in coordination with the department manager. Qualified candidates have an accredited respiratory education, NH licensure, RRT and CPR/BLS, with at least 1 year of RT experience and

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory school.
• Current state licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner in NH, in good standing.
• Willing to cross-license in other states at company expense.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing.
• At least 1 year experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Home care experience is highly desirable.
• RRT certification required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Able to use PC for email and timely documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients and families with timely, accurate information and ensure satisfaction with services.
• Develop good working relationships with patients, families and referral sources.
• Plan daily field routes to maximize time efficiency and minimize travel.
• Schedule set ups and follow-up visits per company policies.
• Coordinate patient discharges with RT Clinical Liaisons.
• Triage field problems per standards and training policies.
• Document patient concerns accurately and take corrective actions.
• Maintain knowledge of SOPs and ensure compliance with laws and SOPs.
• Deliver white-glove service to patients and families.
• Submit travel expense reports monthly; participate in on-call as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Description

As a Respiratory Therapist you will be responsible for the set-up of related products for patients in the home setting, including therapeutics, diagnostics, high tech ventilation, oxygen, and other miscellaneous respiratory equipment. This is a field-based, hands-on respiratory therapist/leadership position that requires a candidate with the drive and skill to be a respiratory caregiver, patient advocate, and positive representative of PromptCare. This responsibility extends to a 24-hour basis in coordination with the department Manager. It also extends on a 24-hour / 7-day basis in accordance with the nature of care which PromptCare provides.

Job Type: Non-Exempt, Full/Time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri with on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School
• Must have current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state inquiring employment and in good standing
• Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states at the company’s expense
• Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance in good standing
• At least 1 year experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required
• Experience in the home care setting is highly desirable
• RRT certification required
• Current CPR- BLS certification required
• Must have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

• Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information and takes appropriate corrective actions regarding our services to ensure complete satisfaction
• Ability to initiate and develop good working relationships with patients, family members and referral sources is essential
• Ensures that the team plans daily events so as to be as efficient as possible with time management (e.g., minimizes travel time by planning routes ahead of time)
• Assists with the proper scheduling of set ups and follow up visits according to company policies and standards
• Works closely with the RT Clinical Liaisons in coordinating patient discharges
• Ability to properly triage problems in the field in accordance with company standards and other verbal and written training policies
• Ensures that the team follows proper procedures for accurate and timely documentation of patient concerns, and most importantly, takes appropriate corrective actions
• Maintains strong knowledge of PromptCare’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures that they are applied consistently
• Ensures that the team maintains compliance to all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all times
• Fosters a culture wherein the team conducts activities with a mindset of delivering “white glove” service to the patients and family members
• Submits expense reports for travel at least once monthly and in a timely manner
• On-call responsibilities as needed
• Other Duties as assigned
