Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. You will provide respiratory care, manage breathing therapies, and coordinate with physicians to guide patient recovery across care plans.

This role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care using advanced equipment in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Current state licensure in Respiratory Therapy and CPR are required; ACLS is preferred, with two years of hospital experience recommended

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of medical gas, breathing therapy modality, and medication.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and breathing treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for a successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
