Job summary

Buchanan County Health Center Independence, Iowa, seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide bedside respiratory care to patients as assigned by supervisor and physician orders for in-house and outpatient care.

Requirements include graduation from an approved respiratory care program, Iowa license, and CPR certification; registry status or eligibility is preferred. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered and one year of experience is preferred.

• GENERAL DESCRIPTION

  The Respiratory Therapy Technician assumes responsibility and accountability to provide bedside respiratory care to patients as assigned by supervisor and given on the physician's written order for both in house and out patient care.

• EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  Must be a graduate of an approved school of respiratory care. Must be registered, or registry eligible, certified or certified eligible. Must possess current Iow state license. In addition to meeting the educational and/or license requirement(s) associated with this position, must be able to provide documentation (copy of transcript or diploma) to verify completion of education. At a minimum, documentation provided must be for High School or GED equivalency, but more advanced diplomas are also accepted for other levels of education completed. CPR Certification required.

• WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  One year prior professional Respiratory Therapy experience preferred. Must have the ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and others. Maintains commitment and enthusiasm to goal achievement. Excellent team player and communication skills required.

Salary Range $25.68 - $35.95
