Nexus at Elmwood is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to residents. You will operate and maintain equipment, document care per policies, and ensure HIPAA-compliant record-keeping while supporting physician-directed therapies.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and nursing staff, a patient-centered approach, and adherence to quality assurance standards in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist license/certification in Illinois (IL).
• Knowledge of respiratory care practices, physiology, and pulmonary treatments.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Minimum of 1 year of long-term care experience preferred.

Respiratory Therapist

Position Overview:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality resident care and treatments as prescribed by a physician. You will operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, administers patient care, and document the activity in the patient's medical record in accordance with facility policies and procedures, HIPAA guidelines, and Quality assurance guidelines.
