Qualifications

• NY State license required for Respiratory Therapist practice in NY.
• RRT registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required.
• BLS and ACLS are required; NRP and PALS preferred.
• Knowledge of acid/base/electrolyte relationships and implications of life threatening situations.
• Establishes patient ventilator settings using metric measurements and advanced principles.

Responsibilities

• Establishs patient ventilator settings and adjusts as needed.
• Works on shift 12 hours/day, 3 days/week, onsite.
• Utilizes Meditech EMR for patient documentation.
