Job summary

Brookings Health System is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to join our rural health system in Brookings, SD. The role involves delivering diagnostic testing, treatments and therapies for cardiopulmonary conditions in a hospital setting, using DR and CT, with a weekend shift once per month.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an AMA approved respiratory care program with NBRC licensure (RRT/CRT), SD licensure, and NRP/CPR/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved respiratory care program with NBRC licensure (RRT or CRT) and SD license.
• NRP, CPR and ACLS certifications required.
• PRN schedule includes one weekend shift per month.
• Duties include diagnostic testing, treatments and therapies for cardiopulmonary conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate stationary and portable X-Ray equipment.
• Prepare rooms for procedures and patient turnover.
• Provide patient services using digital radiography (DR) and CT.
• Deliver care to inpatients and outpatients with cardio-pulmonary needs.

Schedule will include one weekend shift a month. Additional hours may become available per business needs.In this position, you provide quality diagnostic testing, treatments, and therapies to inpatients and outpatients in a hospital setting relating to conditions of the cardiac and pulmonary systems.Candidate must be a graduate of an AMA approved program of respiratory care with an RRT or CRT licensure from NBRC and licensed in the state of South Dakota. NRP, CPR and ACLS certification is required. Incumbent must be proficient in a multidisciplinary department to include treatment, assessment and diagnosis of conditions related to the cardiopulmonary systems of infant to adults.Job Type:PRN
