Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy preferred.
• Licenses: Respiratory Care Practitioner license and Registered Respiratory Therapist license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), with renewal within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical competencies to deliver respiratory therapy to adults, neonates, and pediatric patients.
• Collects and evaluates clinical data through inspection, auscultation, and review of medical records and lab results.
• Reviews x-ray and radiology reports; discusses patient care with physicians and offers recommendations.
• Explains and monitors patient responses to therapy, performs procedures promptly, and documents all interventions.
• Communicates pertinent information to the healthcare team and inspects equipment for proper function and safety.
• Participates in clinical instruction for allied health students and performs additional duties as assigned.
