Zusammenfassung

Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform basic and advanced respiratory therapy procedures and monitor patient data. You will coordinate care with physicians and nurses, transcribe and implement physician orders, and adjust treatments based on chart information.

Ideal candidates hold a school-furnished Respiratory Care degree with NY licensure; BLS is required and ACLS/NRP/PALS are preferred.

Job Summary

Location: Samaritan Medical Center Department: 01.7421 SMC RESPIRATORY THERAPY Pay Range: $36.03 - $45.85 Care for our community, and your career. Performs basic/advanced therapeutic procedures. Accurately monitors/evaluates pertinent information from patient's charts, and computes/prepares medications using basic principles of metric system. Coordinates patient care needs with physicians/nursing staff. Transcribes/implements physician orders. Uses basic/advanced assessment skills/patient information to maintain awareness and coordinate patient care needs. Troubleshoots and takes steps to correct clinical problems; refers unusual circumstances to supervision.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education Requirement: Graduate of a school for Respiratory Care.
• Minimum Experience Requirement: Prior experience preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of acid/base/electrolyte relationships and implications of life threatening situations preferred, not required.
• Establishes patient ventilator settings using metric measurements/advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, time relationships preferred, not required.
• Minimum License Requirement: BLS certification required.
• ACLS, NRP and PALS preferred.
• Appropriate NYS licensure.
• CRT - Certified by National Board for Respiratory Care.
• RRT - Registered by National Board for Respiratory Care.
