Job summary

DASCO Home Medical Equipment seeks a Respiratory Services Assistant to support clinical teams and coordinate patient outreach. You will interact with patients, referral sources, and multiple teams to obtain documentation, fulfill patient requests, and assist where needed.

The role involves reviewing insurance requirements, educating patients on PAP use and maintenance, and helping with PAP charting. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential in this non-exempt, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Six months’ experience in medical/insurance/healthcare/DME field.

Responsibilities

• Completes compliance tasks daily; contacting patients, scheduling appointments, and completing Sleep Glad or Telehealth appointments that do not require a clinician.
• Reviews insurance compliance requirements with patients.
• Educates patients on the use & maintenance of their PAP machine & supplies.
• Assists in PAP charting when needed.
• Supports the continuum of care by communicating with the physician or other clinicians, identifying, and resolving patient care issues whenever possible.
• Maintains current knowledge of DASCO equipment and services.
• Completes supply orders for various supplies per patient request.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

SUMMARY
