Position Reports to:Director of Respiratory Services
Department Description: Wilson Health's Respiratory Therapy Department is comprised of a group of specially-trained health care professionals who work under a physician's order to provide a wide range of breathing treatments and other services. Patients in need of respiratory therapy are often those suffering from asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cystic fibrosis, lung cancer, AIDS, and other lung or lung-related conditions. Premature infants and accident victims often need the care of respiratory therapists as well.
Job Summary: Performs the evaluation of cardiopulmonary function, the treatment of cardiopulmonary impairment, the assessment of treatment effectiveness, and the care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system.
