Job summary

Valiant Integrated Services seeks a Respiratory Protection / SCBA Program Manager to lead the Respiratory Protection Program, oversee life-support equipment, safety compliance, and technician training. Position Description

Valiant is looking for an Respiratory Protection / SCBA Program Managerto join our team!

The Respiratory Protection / SCBA Program Manager s erves as the designated Respiratory Protection Program Administrator, exercising full operational oversight of life-support equipment, respiratory safety compliance, and technician training. Develop, update, and maintain written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for unit respiratory protection. Conduct annual program evaluations and maintain audit-ready documentation. Verify personnel medical clearance compliance prior to respirator assignment. Administer qualitative and quantitative fit testing protocols per 29 CFR 1910.134 and conduct work area atmospheric surveillance. Instruct personnel on proper donning, doffing, emergency procedures, and field-level operator care. Tracks the location and status of assigned equipment to ensure required equipment is ready and available to support events as needed. Ensure that all government property is properly maintained and serviced as needed. Conducts a 20% monthly inventory and semiannually provides a Property Accountability Report. Identifies maintenance requirements for all government-furnished and contractor-acquired property and coordinates repair or disposition with the PM/COR.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage lifecycle servicing, field maintenance, inspection, and sanitization for the ST54 Enhanced Multi-Mission Tactical Operator Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and associated masks/regulators.
• Operate and maintain the Special Projects Operations AirJam high-pressure air booster/fill system. Ensure compliance with Grade D breathing air specifications.
• Perform automated flow, pressure, and static leak testing utilizing the ATOR Labs Inc. OMNIcheck pressure testing system. Maintain electronic test logs.
• Serve as a SME on respiratory protection to include air purifying respirators (APR), powered air purifying respirators (PAPR), canister function, break through, and proper respiratory PPE / IPT selection based established threat agent.
• Maintain proficiency on all chemical, biological, and radiological mission-essential equipment.
• Assists government leadership with maintaining property accountability using the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS). Coordinates equipment transfers through the department’s logistics section.
• Oversee the movement, distribution and storage of materials and equipment in support of CBRN and CWMD training events and exercises.
• Ensures compliance with all inventory policies and procedures in support of warehouse operations and safety.
• Manage supply chain transactions to ensure equipment is on hand to meet training requirements.
• Monitors and maintains positive control of inventory to include analyses of requirements to assist in the development of strategies and accomplish desired delivery times and order fill rates.
• Manage a computer-based property management system to track inventory, shipping, receiving, maintenance, and accountability.
• Present monthly reports to government leadership on logistics activity to include retrieving historical data from previous events, the next month action step, objectives, and risk identification.
• Coordinate supply chain initiatives and actions in order to manage program costs.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate logistical operations for both CONUS and OCONUS event support.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

SECURITY REQUIREMENT: ActiveSecret, T S/SCI preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bac helor’s Degree or requisite military experience. Emphasis in project management, logistics management, or warehouse management or similar disciplines will be given higher consideration. Relevant military experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be familiar with the ST54 Enhanced Multi-Mission Tactical Operator SCBA.
• Be familiar with the Special Projects Operation’s AirJam system.
• Familiarity with 29CFR 1910.134 respiratory protection program for employees that require respirator use.
• Be prepared to complete OSHA Training Institute Course 2225 or FEMA Respiratory Protection: Program Development and Administration Course (Course number RP PER-263).
• Be familiar with the ATOR Labs Inc. OMNIcheck pressure testing system and be prepared to complete the OMNIcheck initial system setup and training certification.
• Prior Department of Defense environment experience preferred in resource allocation, supply chain principles, and budget management and development is desired.
• Experience as a hazardous materials (HAZMAT) Technician, US Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Specialist (MOS 74D), a US Navy Explosive Ordinance Technician, or a graduate of advanced chemical and biological warfare agent training is desired.
• Oversee the movement, distribution, and storage of both durable and expendable equipment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge and experience with chemical and biological sensors, detectors, and field confirmatory equipment is desired.
• Knowledge and experience with radiological sensors, detectors, and field confirmatory equipment is desired.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be capable of working at a computer terminal for extended periods.
• Must be capable of transporting and lifting 40-pound boxes of documents and equipment.
• Physically capable of working extended periods in SCBA and fully encapsulated Personal Protective Equipment for up to eight (8) hours or more per day.
