Job description

We’ve been assigned by one of the best performing NHS University Teaching Hospitals in the UK to help them recruit a Consultant Respiratory Physician on a Substantive Position. The trust are offering up to a £30,000 reward payment for the successful candidate.

Our client achieved “Outstanding” in their 2019 Care Quality Commission inspection and an overall “Good” rating across the rest of the hospital. The Health Service Journal named this trust as being one of the Best NHS places to work, with facilities such as an on‑site Nursery & the trust being situated in a beautiful location by the coast. Trust has a perfect location which offers London within easy reach, access to major motorways and an international airport within immediate proximity.

The Department of Respiratory Medicine provides a wide range of services and investigative facilities including flexible bronchoscopy, EBUS, trans bronchial biopsies, medical thoracoscopy, Pulmonary Function Laboratory, overnight oximetry, sleep studies and operation of a “fast track” straight to CT service for lung cancer.

The appointee will join a highly motivated respiratory team, comprising of three substantive consultants and one long‑term locum consultant, supported by a multidisciplinary specialist team including nursing, physiologists and support staff, providing a comprehensive service of the highest quality for both inpatient and outpatient services. The successful candidate will be given opportunities to play a significant teaching role at the ever‑expanding Medical School at this teaching Hospital.
