As aRespiratoryNurse, you will provide specialized nursing care to residents requiringrespiratorysupport, including tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, pulmonary treatments, and ventilator support.
This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy working in a higher-acuity environment and are interested in developing specializedrespiratoryskills.
Previousrespiratoryexperience is preferred. Additional training will be provided to qualified candidates. All respiratory duties will be carried out under the guidance of the Respiratory Director.
Provide specialized respiratory nursing care to residents withrespiratoryand pulmonary conditions
Monitor residents requiring ventilator support, tracheostomies, oxygen therapy, andrespiratorytreatments
Perform tracheostomy care and suctioning procedures
Administer prescribed medications, nebulizer treatments, and physician-orderedrespiratoryinterventions
Monitor respiratory modalities and escalates concerns to the appropriate clinical team
Educate residents, families, and staff regardingrespiratorycare needs
Support emergencyrespiratoryinterventions when necessary
Current Pennsylvania LPN or RN license in good standing
Current CPR/BLS certification
2-years Skilled Nursing Facility, Subacute, LTACH, Rehab, or Hospital experience
Experience caring for residents with Trachand Ventilator support
