Job summary

Split Rock Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New York is seeking a Respiratory Equipment Technician to support the Respiratory Therapy Department. The role focuses on keeping equipment clean, functional, and ready for patient care while assisting therapists.

You will manage ventilators, oxygen equipment, nebulizers, and related supplies, participate in preventative maintenance, and ensure safety and infection control guidelines are followed in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Healthcare or medical equipment experience preferred.
• Respiratory, DME, biomedical, or central sterile experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, inspect, assemble, and test respiratory equipment before reuse.
• Perform routine checks on ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP devices, oxygen concentrators, aerosol equipment, suction devices, pulse oximeters.
• Receive and organize deliveries; monitor expiration dates; assist with inventory counts.
• Deliver equipment throughout the facility and assist Respiratory Therapists with equipment setup.
• Maintain equipment cleaning logs and preventative maintenance records.
• Follow OSHA, CDC, and facility infection control guidelines; ensure a clean, organized work environment.
