Responsibilities

• Partner with physicians and staff to provide patient‑centered care.
• Work with patients and families to provide age‑appropriate and culturally appropriate care.
• Perform direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Collaborate with other team members to perform other appropriate services as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Indiana Student Temporary Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
• Current enrollment in a respiratory therapy program with completion of introductory courses and at least in the first or second year.
• Documented verification of procedural competencies specific to respiratory care.
• After graduating, employees may remain in this role as long as their Indiana State License has not expired and until the results of the registered respiratory therapist exam are received from the NBRC.
