Job summary

Responsibilities include ventilator management, ABG analysis, patient education, and adherence to physician orders to ensure safe, effective therapies.

Qualifications

• RCP license required; CRT certification; CPR certification current.
• Associate degree in Cardio-Respiratory Care from an accredited program.
• CPR certification is current and valid.

Responsibilities

• Administer and evaluate respiratory therapies per policy and procedures.
• Set up and monitor CPAP, Bi-Pap, and non-invasive ventilation; monitor oxygen therapy.
• Monitor ventilator settings and patient status; document responses and outcomes.
• Perform ABG analysis and transcribe results accurately.
• Educate patients on equipment use and therapy rationale.

Rhode Island Respiratory Care Practitioner license (RCP)

CRT certification
