Job summary

Bunkie General Hospital in Louisiana is seeking a Respiratory Care Therapist CRT or RRT to perform complex cardiopulmonary care procedures as prescribed by a physician. The incumbent will ensure compliance with hospital policies and provide patient-centered care, with after-hours call and possible overtime as workload demands.

Responsibilities include administering oxygen and aerosol therapies, chest physiotherapy, ventilator management, endotracheal procedures, ABG sampling, pulmonary function

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana Respiratory Therapist license and national accreditation as a Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• All modes of Oxygen Therapy.
• All modes of Aerosol Therapy including pentamadine and ribovirin.
• All chest physiotherapy including postural drainage, tapping, vibrating.
• Prolonged artificial ventilation and total ventilator management.
• Endotracheal intubation and extubation.
• Arterial blood gas sampling via puncture/catheterization.
• Pulmonary function testing and respiratory status monitoring.
• Provide training and supervision of staff when needed.
