Job summary

Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide care per physician orders, document in the EMR, and support department operations. The RT will perform diagnostic studies, maintain equipment, and participate in staff training as directed.

The ideal candidate is NBRC registered or eligible, holds Missouri licensure, and has current BLS; ACLS and NRP within 6 months are required or planned, with attention to accuracy and patient safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be registered or registry eligible by NBRC and licensed by the State of Missouri as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current AHA BLS required.
• ACLS required or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• NRP certified or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Self-motivated and able to work within hospital policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy per physician orders and department policies.
• Administer respiratory care modalities and electrodiagnostics as approved.
• Run blood gases and CO-oximeter as permitted.
• Document care and maintain EMR records accurately.
• Set up and maintain medical gases and related equipment.
• Attend in-service education and department meetings.
