Job summary

Providence Health & Services seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver high-quality respiratory care for both adult and pediatric patients under supervision. The role includes blood gas collection, analysis, and reporting in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The candidate must hold a CA Respiratory Care Practitioner license, and possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications or obtain them within required timelines. Experience in critical care or pediatrics is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification from a respiratory therapy program required.
• Completion of a 2-year AMA-approved respiratory therapy program.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner license required upon hire.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care appropriate to assignment for adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform all duties of blood gas analysis including venipuncture, analysis, and reporting.

Under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager/Director, the RCP will provide respiratory care appropriate to the area of assignment; adult and pediatric. Performs all duties of blood gas analysis including stick, draw, analysis and reporting.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Certification from a Respiratory Therapy Program.
• Coursework/Training: Completion of 2-year certificate from an AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of Critical care experience in adult intensive care.
• Pediatric experience.
• EKG experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $40.89 - $63.48
