This role involves floating throughout the system to meet all RRT needs in the Puget Sound Area. Hospitals included are Auburn Medical Center, Covington Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, Tacoma General Hospital, Allenmore Hospital, and Capital Medical Center.
Assists the Registered Nurse or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in providing various patient cares/treatments within their scope of practice. Performs direct patient care activities independently according to MHS policies and procedures within the WAC RCP scope of practice.

The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for delivering skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. This requires advanced practitioner skills to intervene in complex care situations. The role involves independent operation, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation, tailored to patient age and needs. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management; external contacts include patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting minimum educational qualifications.

The pay range is $39.85 - $65.87 USD, influenced by experience, skills, certifications, and education. Pay may also reflect union contracts where applicable.
