Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Surprise is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our inpatient team. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a strong willingness to learn, and will work 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM shifts.

The RCP performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures, maintains equipment, and can provide phlebotomy and basic lab testing as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be certified or licensed to practice respiratory care in the state where the hospital resides.
• Must maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Blood gas licensure required if employed in Nevada; high school diploma required, associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine therapy, diagnostic and emergency cardiopulmonary procedures for patients in PAM Health hospitals and maintains all equipment in working order.
• Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested.

• Education and Training: Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care. Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada. For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.
• Experience: Minimum of one-year clinical respiratory experience preferred.
