Join Roper St. Francis Healthcare as a Respiratory Care Practitioner I or II at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital in Charleston, SC. This full-time evening/night shift position offers a $7,000 sign-on bonus.
The Respiratory Therapist provides professional respiratory care for inpatients and outpatients, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, airway management, mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation, continuous pulse oximetry, and CPR. Responsibilities include implementing departmental protocols, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopic procedures, pulmonary rehabilitation, patient education, and equipment maintenance, tailored to patient age groups.
Licenses and Certifications: RRT or CRT from NBRC, SC medical license, current BLS, ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable.
Strong understanding of cardiopulmonary physiology, respiratory equipment, infection control, and effective communication skills. Ability to use departmental computer systems for order entry and billing.
Involves standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, exposure to blood and body fluids, and working under stressful conditions, including possible weekend and holiday shifts.
