Sharp HealthCare is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide cardiopulmonary diagnostics, therapies, and monitoring within policy guidelines. You will educate patients and families, maintain documentation, and support NICU/ICU care as needed.
Qualified candidates have CA RCP license, BLS, ACLS, and relevant acute care experience; bronchoscopy experience is preferred. This position is covered by a SEIU CBA and includes 12/36-hour shifts.

This position was originally posted to ratified STC SEIU members from 9/17/2026 to 9/25/2026. The position is now available to be filled by internal candidates that are not members of the ratified Bargaining Unit or External candidates to Sharp.
The Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) is a professional caregiver who performs cardiopulmonary diagnostics, therapeutics and monitors within his/her scope of practice per TCMC physician approved policies, procedures and protocols. This position maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in hospital and department expectations and professional organizations. The employee provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. The RCP demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients’/caregivers’ rights, as identified within the institution. Pulmonary Function Technologists may complete the same duties as RCPs and provide additional specialized testing of patients (PFTs). The RCP follows/adheres to guidelines of care.
Current NRP certification, required. (NICU position only)
