BSW SURGICARE NORTH GARLAND is seeking a motivated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. We are a busy multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center with 6 ORs. The position is Monday through Friday with no call, weekends, or holidays. Candidates must be dependable and cooperative with physicians and co-workers. Our scope of services includes orthopedics, podiatry, GYN, ENT, general surgery, gastroenterology, urology, pain management, and plastics.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the OR Manager, the Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures, demonstrating competence as a member of the surgical team. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. The role supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center and participates in quality improvement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a surgical technician certification program.
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
• Excellent team player with strong communication skills with staff, patients, and physicians.
