Job description

**Expectations:**Responsible for the delivery of Respiratory Care to inpatients and outpatients requiring licensed practitioner skill levels to intervene in complex patient care situations. Assumes responsibility for policy and procedure formulations, quality management activities and collaborative committee participation. Assumes evaluator responsibility for new hires and others as directed within area of responsibility. Assists with clinical based research projects related to defining/monitoring appropriateness and effectiveness of delivered respiratory care. Performing work in accordance with physician orders. Defined duties are performed in the neonatal, pediatric and adult patient populations in floor, intermediate, intensive and emergency care areas. Functional breakdown of responsibilities: Patient Care Duties (85%); Continuing Education (5%); Performance Improvement (5%); Professional Development (3%); Evaluator/Mentorship (2%). This position may require flexibility of hours. This position requires the ability to take on-call for patients requiring emergency procedures and transports. **EDUCATION:** Graduate of an accredited school by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required. **EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:** Two years experience as a Critical Care RCP preferred for applicable Age Specific patient population: neonatal, pediatrics and adults.
