Zusammenfassung

CGH Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care for a diverse patient population in outpatient and inpatient settings. The role reports to a physician and supports a wide range of therapies and procedures.

You will perform assessments, administer therapies, and assist with bronchoscopy procedures while ensuring ventilation management and ABG sampling. The position includes weekend shifts and a 36-hour week with a sign-on bonus for external candidates.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess an Illinois license within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
• ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification required as applicable to areas of responsibility within one year.
• CRT or RRT certification preferred where applicable.
• Basic computer literacy and use of computer software applications strongly preferred.

• Performs Pulmonary Rehabilitation as ordered by the physician.

Shift: 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., every 3rd weekend

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

$10,000 sign‑on bonus for external candidates with at least 1 year of experience.

Position Purpose

Provides respiratory care to a broad patient population to include both outpatient and inpatient services under the direction of a physician.

Essential Functions

• Performs patient therapy assessments.
• Performs respiratory therapy modalities as ordered by the physician.
• Performs Pulmonary Function Tests.
• Assists physician with Bronchoscopy procedures.
• Manages invasive and noninvasive ventilation.
• Responsible for drawing Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs).
• Performs integral role as a member of the Code Blue and Rapid Response Teams.
• Provides guidance to Respiratory Care Aides/Students.
• Provides education to patients and family.
• Participates and provides community education as necessary.
• Cleans and maintains respiratory equipment and supplies as necessary.
• Performs artificial airway maintenance.
• Performs Pulmonary Rehabilitation as ordered by the physician.

Specialized Know‑How & Requirements

Compensation

Range: $31.42 – $47.13 per hour.
