Job summary

Providence Medford Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform respiratory care services in accordance with departmental standards and protocols at the Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, Oregon. The role requires licensure and certification by the American Heart Association and pediatric/neonatal competencies as applicable.

This per-diem position offers a flexible schedule with base pay that reflects experience and market rates for respiratory therapists in Oregon.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent education/experience.
  • Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
  • BLS (American Heart Association) upon hire.
  • ACLS (American Heart Association) within hire
  • PALS (American Heart Association) within 90 days of hire
  • NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Respiratory Care Services in accordance with departmental standards, policies and protocols.
  • Adapt to a variety of responsibilities.
  • Interpret patient self-reports or behaviors with consideration of developmental needs across age groups.

MAJOR CHALLENGES:
  • Must be able to readily adapt to a variety of responsibilities.

Patient Population Served: Neonates, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric

Consequently, the employee must be competent in the interpretation of a patient's self-report or behavior, and this information must be interpreted with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial and chronological maturation process. The treatment of patients should be individualized and should reflect an understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
