Job summary

University Hospitals in Cleveland seeks a Respiratory Care Assistant who learns and applies the hospital's mission and standards. The role performs basic competencies within orientation and contributes to respiratory care after verification of education and competency.

You will deliver medicated aerosol, airway clearance therapy, monitor patients with bedside spirometry and ECG, and assist with oxygen and humidity therapies.

Responsibilities

• Medicated aerosol delivery
• Airway clearance therapy
• Patient monitoring (bedside spirometry, noninvasive monitors, and ECG)
• Oxygen and humidity therapy
• Special procedures (CPR, collect data, equipment setups)
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
