Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time Respiratory Care practitioner to perform general respiratory care duties under supervision, including treatments, oxygen administration, suctioning, and ABG puncture and analysis. The role supports neonatal through geriatric patients per department policies.

The candidate must be enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care program (CoARC), be registered with the NCRCB as an RCA, complete required competencies, and hold BLS.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in good standing in an accredited Respiratory Care program approved by CoARC.
• Registered with the NCRCB as an RCA.
• Completed competency evaluations for each of the duties of the job.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care treatments and oxygen administration.
• Suctions patients and obtains and runs ABG samples.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development across the life span and documents patient education.
