Candidate should communicate well with staff, be familiar with medical terminology, and adapt quickly to changing needs while maintaining inventory across respiratory areas.

Qualifications

• Good communication with physicians, nursing staff and coworkers.
• Familiarity with medical terminology used in respiratory care.
• Basic computer skills for charting and orders.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Teamwork-focused approach to support Respiratory Therapists.

Responsibilities

• Serve as support personnel for respiratory care practitioners.
• Assist in assembly, transport and disinfection of respiratory equipment and supplies.
• Work under the direction of a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in respiratory work areas and assist with non-patient procedures.
• May assist in training new Respiratory Therapy Assistants or students.
