Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Respiratory Care professional to work under supervision of a licensed practitioner and perform general respiratory care duties including treatments, oxygen administration, suctioning, and arterial blood gas collection and analysis. The role spans neonatal to geriatric patient care, within established department policies.

Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care program, be registered with the NC Respiratory Care Board as RCA, and hold BLS.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of growth and development across the life span.
• Ability to assess data reflecting patient status and needs.
• Provide and assess patient and family education.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care treatments and oxygen administration.
• Suction patients and obtain and run ABG samples.
• Demonstrate knowledge to care for neonatal to geriatric patients.
