Role Purpose

Under supervision of a Registered Respiratory Therapist, provides basic patient care activities related to respiratory care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and compliance with regulations and quality initiatives. Maintains equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures according to standards and policies.
• Recognizes abnormal findings or changes in patient status and seeks assistance.
• Communicates effectively, documents, and collaborates with the healthcare team.
• Prioritizes tasks, manages time effectively, and seeks continuous learning opportunities.
• Processes equipment according to manufacturer and industry standards.
