Job summary

System Support in Ohio is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II to perform respiratory assessment, therapy, evaluation, testing, education, and clear communication for diverse patient populations.

You will coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team, ensure compliance with Ohio Respiratory Care laws and hospital policies, and pursue ongoing credentialing such as NBRC, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum level of education: Associates degree.
• Licensure: Ohio Respiratory Care License and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NRP and PALS to be obtained within 6 months of hire or per course availability.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Respiratory Therapist (RT II) functions in a skilled role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of respiratory care. The RT II is responsible for the respiratory assessment, therapeutic treatment, evaluation, testing, education, and communication for all patient populations served. The RT II will coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to promote excellent patient experience. The RT II is responsible for maintaining compliance with the Ohio Respiratory Care Laws, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional and system policies.
