Job summary

Valley Regional Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a Respiratory Therapy Assistant (PRN) who can work independently in aspects of respiratory care after training. You will support noninvasive modalities, collaborate with respiratory therapists, and uphold hospital policies to deliver safe patient care.

This PRN role offers flexible scheduling within our respiratory care team, with opportunities to participate in ongoing education and department initiatives.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in accredited school of Respiratory Therapy or graduation.
• BCLS certification required.
• NRP certification preferred but not required.

• Patient care and/or department service is delivered safely and efficiently as determined by outcomes and quality monitors.
• Interpersonal relationships contribute positively to quality care and orderly operation.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapy Assistant is an individual who, after comprehensive training, is able to function independently in some aspects of respiratory care. The responsibilities include demonstrating proficiency in all noninvasive modalities of Respiratory Care and other multidisciplinary assigned skills as defined by training and competency demonstration. The Respiratory Therapy Assistant will be responsible for execution of assignments. All care will be in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with Respiratory Therapists in the clinical care setting. Supports Customer First Initiatives.

What you will do in this role

• Review of documentation.
• Patient care and/or department service is delivered in a safe, competent, and efficient manner as determined by outcomes, quality monitors, and other internal and external process.
• Conduct and interpersonal relationships contribute positively to the delivery of quality care and services, and to orderly operation of the department and the facility.
• Skills are maintained and enhanced through consultation with interdisciplinary team members, participation in planning activities, and attendance at in-service and continuing education programs.

Qualifications

• Graduation from/or currently enrolled in accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
• BCLS required.
• NRP Certification preferred but not required.
