Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduates of a 2-4-year AMA approved Respiratory Program.
• Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license with NBRC credentials.
• Current BLS; ACLS and NRP knowledge for the clinical area.

Responsibilities

• To perform high level clinical respiratory care under indirect technical supervision as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.
• Demonstrates leadership in network initiatives and serves as a role model for KH mission, vision, and values.
• Performs various respiratory procedures on a day-to-day basis under indirect supervision for all age groups as specified per campus departmental policy
• Exercises good independent clinical judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures
• Maintains productivity at or above required levels.
• Ensures correct documentation of all records
• Occasionally serves as Lead Therapist, shift Team Leader, or clinical Instructor as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education Graduates of a 2-4-year AMA approved Respiratory Program
• Required Licenses [Ohio, United States] Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner for the State of Ohio Credentials issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Active AARC member must demonstrate acute/critical care knowledge as it relates to cardiopulmonary diseases states, involved in precepting acute/critical care areas, supervisor capabilities, current BLS with ACLS, P, and NRP for respective work area.
