Job summary

Kettering Health Network in Middletown, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time, 12-hour night shift. You will perform high-level respiratory care under indirect supervision, support network initiatives, and potentially serve as Lead Therapist or clinical instructor as assigned.Qualifications include graduation from AMA-approved respiratory program, Ohio license, BLS/ACLS/NRP, and active AARC membership. Qualifications

• Graduates of a 2–4-year AMA approved Respiratory Program.
• Active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license and NBRC credentials; State license as applicable.
• Active AARC member; demonstrate acute/critical care knowledge; BLS with ACLS and NRP.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level respiratory care under indirect supervision.
• Be a role model for KHN mission, values and network initiatives.
• Perform respiratory procedures daily for all age groups per policy.
• Exercise independent clinical judgment in policies and procedures.
• Maintain productivity at or above required levels.
• Ensure accurate documentation of all records.
• Occasionally serve as Lead Therapist, shift Team Leader, or clinical Instructor.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

• To perform high level clinical respiratory care under indirect technical supervision as assigned by the supervisor or team leader.
• Additional the position demonstrates a strong approach to all network initiatives and will be a role model for KHN mission, vision, and values.
• Performs various respiratory procedures on a day-to-day basis under indirect supervision for all age group as specified per campus departmental policy
• Exercises good independent clinical judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures
• Maintains productivity at or above required levels.
• Assures correct documentation of all records
• Occasionally performs the role of Lead Therapist, shift Team Leader, or clinical Instructor as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Education Graduates of a 2–4-year AMA approved Respiratory Program

  Required Licenses [Ohio, United States] Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner for the State of Ohio Credentials issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care

  Active AARC member must demonstrate acute/critical care knowledge as it relates to cardiopulmonary diseases states, involved in precepting acute/critical care areas, supervisor capabilities, current BLS with ACLS, P, and NRP for respective work area.
