A prestigious hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner Therapist.

Type: Contract

Schedule: 07:30pm-08:30am (includes a 30 min break)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Responsibilities

  1. Provides respiratory therapy as prescribed by a Physician.
  2. Provides patient/significant other with respiratory therapy education.
  3. Prepares, operates, and maintains respiratory care equipment.
  4. Delivers efficient, quality-oriented patient care within department policies.
  5. Performs support activities such as equipment maintenance, changes, and inventory management.
  6. Sets up and operates various respiratory care devices for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions.

Requirements

  1. NYS Respiratory Therapist license (required).
  2. Registered Respiratory Therapist certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (preferred).
  3. Current BLS certification (required).
  4. Associate's Degree in Applied Science and Respiratory Therapy (required).
  5. Extensive Critical Care Experience (strongly preferred).
  6. Basic computer skills (required).
  7. Good communication, flexibility, and interpersonal skills (required).
